The Honda NSX is a sports car that has always been regarded as one of the best ever. Featuring a stunning engine and Ferrari rivalling handling, the NSX is one of the greats. Now Honda took a while to present its successor but here you see it close to the production form and even good news is that we will be able to see it in the flesh at the Auto Expo 2014.
The worldwide launch will be next year and just like the BMW i8, the NSX is a supercar for the future. The NSX will be powered by a mid-mounted, direct-injected V6 engine mated to Honda’s Sport Hybrid SH-AWD (Super Handling All-Wheel Drive) system. The 2 Electric Motor Drive Unit with a bilateral torque adjustable control system, the new hybrid all-wheel-drive system can instantly generate negative or positive torque to the front wheels during cornering.
The NSX has a dual clutch transmission and a third electric traction motor integrated within the transmission housing. The new NSX is being developed by a global R&D team led by designers and engineers at Honda R&D Americas, Inc. located in Los Angeles, California, and Raymond, Ohio. The new NSX will also be manufactured at a new production facility in central Ohio.
Styling wise it is just stunning with its razor sharp lines. The shape is pure supercar with a low wide stance and filled with futuristic touches. Inside the interior is similar in execution with a simple yet sporty interior. We can't wait to see it in the flesh at the Expo!
