Indian Motorcycles Launched in India

The big bikes are all rolling in to the Indian market and today Indian Motorcycles was launched in India. This iconic American Motorcycle maker has launched three products for India. The product range includes Chief Classic, Chief Vintage and Chieftain. The prices have also been revealed and they have full import duties being CBU's.

The design is the main factor why anyone will buy these beasts with tons of chrome which lends these motorcycles a lot of presence. The first Delhi showroom will be coming up shortly with the Bangalore dealership on the way next. Indian Motorcycle is a wholly-owned division of Polaris Industries Inc. and was founded in 1901. The Chief range is powered by Thunder Stroke 111 engine that churns out 139 Nm of torque at 2600 rpm.

The Thunder Stroke 111 engine features 111 cubic inch displacement. The 49-degree V-Twin engine is the new engine of Indian Motorcycle and marks the first clean-sheet Indian Motorcycle engine design in seven decades.

“This launch holds great importance for us. We launched the marquee bikes in the US early last year and were appreciated immensely for reviving history. The Chief line enthralled the bikers and created an aura for itself within few days of the launch. Reviving the legend with a new heart but its same soul, Polaris India has ended the long wait for Indian Motorcycle enthusiasts with this launch. We are now giving enthusiasts a chance to own a piece of history in a modern package,” said Mr. Pankaj Dubey, Managing Director, Polaris India Pvt. Ltd.

Indian Chief Vintage- Rs 29.5 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi)

Indian Chieftain - Rs 33 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi)
