Ford has just unveiled the latest avatar of its Fiesta sedan at the 12th Indian Auto Expo. This car is definitely India bound will have its official launch in the country in June of this year. As you surely would have noticed, the most striking design feature if this car is it’s decidedly Aston Martin-ish grille.
Staying at the front, one will also notice that this new Fiesta has new fog lamps, a new bonnet and a remodelled bumper. Move round to the back and you will find that the tail light clusters are larger and different from the earlier version of the car.
The engines of the car are apparently not being altered, which means that we will get the same 1.5 litre petrol engine that delivers 107 bhp and the 1.5 litre diesel motor that puts out 89 bhp and a torque figure of 204 Nm. Customers purchasing the petrol variant can have their car either as a 5 speed manual or a 6 speed automatic but the diesel engine will be connected only to a 5 speed manual transmission. The difference with this new Fiesta is that Ford has also plonked its brilliant 1.0 litre EcoBoost petrol engine, the one that sits in the Ford EcoSport, under the bonnet of this car.
