Auto Expo 2014 ——— Mahindra Halo Debuts

By   |   06 February,2014

Mahindra Reva, a company known for making the Reva electric vehicle and more recently, the remodelled Mahindra Reva E2O, has just revealed their latest electric vehicle. The vehicle is an electric sports car concept called the Mahindra Halo and it made its global debut here at the Indian Auto Expo in New Delhi.

While the design of the car doesn’t make your jaw drop to the floor, it does look far better than everything we’ve seen so far from the stables of Mahindra Reva. The two door sports car looks athletic without being overly so and overall, it is well rounded; which it should be, considering the fact that designers from Bertone and Pininfarina had a hand in modelling the Halo.

Power comes from an electric motor that develops close to the electric equivalent of 140 bhp, sufficient to propel the car from a standstill to 100 kph in less than 8 seconds and onto a top speed of 160 kmph, according to the claim made by Mahindra Reva. The Mahindra Halo gives a range of 200 kms on one full charge. The interior is futuristic with features like dual-touchscreen infotainment system. The company has no plans of putting the Halo on sale in India. Yet.
