The MPV segment expanded when the Maruti Ertiga was launched as here was a car that was a lot smaller than the Innova and was positioned in a segment below it. Its success has meant that others will now follow and Datsun Go+ MPV is one such car.
As the name suggests like the Honda Mobilio the Go+ MPV is based on the Datsun GO hatch. In looks terms the transition to MPV has been a smooth one and just like the GO hatch this one looks clean and simple. Despite being bigger the GO+ still has a length of 3,995 mm which means this is a compact MPV!
The GO+ is a 7 seater with three rows of seats having a wheelbase of 2450 mm. Everything else is the same with the interior just like the hatch featuring an integrated gear-shift knob and parking brake lever with the instrumental panel. The Go+ has a 1.2 petrol engine with a 5-speed manual gearbox. We expect this car to be launched at the end of this year at a competitive price.
