At the Indian Auto Expo which was held at New Delhi from the 7th of February to the 11th of February, American auto maker Ford did a very low key introduction of a new version of the Figo which has in-built WiFi connectivity, a first in its class. This updated variant is already available for purchase at Ford showrooms.

This feature is available as part of an INR 9,790 option pack and Ford will provide this option to all variants of the hatchback that has Ford’s factory fitted audio system. The option pack gets LED lights, colour co-ordinated seat covers and a dongle that plugs in to the audio system and creates a WiFi hotspot within the car. A separate SIM card will have to be procured by the owner for the system to function.

Also, the new Ford Figo can be ordered with an exterior colour option called ‘Mars Red’ that was first seen on the Ford EcoSport. As part of the option pack, the EXi variant gets an audio system as strandard and the ZXi version gets power mirrors and a driver side airbag. The price of the LXi variant remains unaltered but the EXi and Titanium variants cost INR 10,000 more and the VXi variant costs INR 20,000 more.
