Mitsubishi will be finally launching its much awaited offerings in the sedan and hatch space with the Attrage coming in early 2016. Along with that there will also be the Mirage hatch which for long has been talked about as coming to India. Having recently launched the Pajero Sport Automatic the company has hinted on its future plans and these two cars are central to that.——
These two products are crucial if Mitsubishi wants a bigger piece of the action. The Attrage is a good looking car and is basically the sedan version of the Mirage. The styling is sharp and quite pleasant with a premium look. The Attrage is not a compact sedan but also smaller than the new Honda City with a length of 4245mm. The wheelbase is longer than the Mirage hatch and when it comes to space the rear seats are comfortable and spacious.
The interiors though look a bit bland and certainly they need to be in a lighter colour when launched in India. The engine options is the same 1.2 three cylinder engine while slightly more powerful than the one in the Mirage.
Yes, the Mirage. This one has been talked about for a long time and finally it would be coming. This hatch has a pleasant styling which looks quite sporty too. It is not as futuristic as the Hyundai Elite i20 but looks sharp. The engine options will be the 1.2 petrol as talked about with 76 bhp and a 5-speed manual. Overall these two have potential but before launching Mitsubishi will have to increase its dealership network which it also plans to do so..
