American car maker Jeep will be debuting a new SUV at the Geneva Motor Show 2014 in Switzerland. The vehicle, called the Jeep Renegade, will feature signature Jeep design trademarks such as the front grille with seven vertical slots.
The car has a very squared up stance but we’re not very sure about its boxy looks that make it reminiscent of some of those quirky Japanese vans. The car also gets round headlamps, roof rails, a small tail gate spoiler, square tail light clusters and so on. As far as power is concerned, the Renegade is globally expected to have a 900 cc TwinAir turbo engine, a 1.4 litre, 160 bhp MultiAir turbo engine and a 1.5 litre MultiJet diesel engine. India can expect the 1.3 litre MultiJet diesel engine in the engine line-up.
The car is likely to have a 6 speed manual transmission and 4x4 drive system. Also available is a 9 speed automatic gearbox! The Renegade will have multiple driving modes such as auto, snow, sand, rock and sport; and features such as Hill Start Assist and Hill Descent Control. The car is quite tough as well, with 70% of its body being made out of high strength steel.
