New Ford Fiesta 2014 Facelift First Look Review

By   |   20 March,2014

Ford is all set to launch the facelifted Fiesta soon and we thought we would give you everything you need to know about this car. If you had visited the Auto Expo 2014 you would have seen the car in the flesh and marvelled at the 'Aston' lines of the car. The new facelifted Fiesta is a good looking car no doubt and Ford will also be pricing it competitively. The changes are more at the front with a new look rather than at the rear.

The Fiesta gets the trapezoidal front grille which is a signature of the new Ford design family. The Fiesta also gets laser-cut headlamps and power-dome hood design. The rear changes are more subtle with redesigned tail-lamps plus more chrome.

Inside the facelifted Fiesta gets the usual sporty interior as before with a nip and tuck. There is the mobile phone-inspired dashboard and leather steering wheel with audio controls. The Fiesta also gets a high-gloss finish for the upper instrument panel that flows to the lower centre console plus also being there on the door panel.

There is of course the Ford’s signature Ice Blue lighting to illuminate dials, switches and displays. Like all Fords the tech is maintained with various features including the Ford SYNC with AppLink which is a hands-free in-car connectivity system.

The engine line-up continues with the 1.5 litre petrol and diesel options. The midsize segment is already having lots of competition with the new Honda City, facelifted Hyundai Verna, just-updated Fiat Linea and not to mention the Maruti Ciaz coming in a few months, so Ford will have to price it aggressively. We will know soon.
