General Motors owned American car maker Chevrolet have launched the 2014 version of their butch looking sedan, the Cruze. This vehicle had already received a face lift near the end of last year and that saw quite a few changes in the way of the front grille and bumper and more airbags being added to improve safety.
In addition to these modifications, the 2014 Chevrolet Cruze gets turn indicators on the outside rear view mirrors and better fuel economy from the 6 speed automatic transmission. The engine under the bonnet of the new Cruze is the same unit found in the older version, a 2.0 litre, 4 cylinder diesel engine that develops a power output of 164 bhp.
The new Cruze with the automatic gearbox returns an ARAI certified mileage figure of 14.81 kmpl also, in terms of fuel economy, the automatic variant is now closer its manual sibling, which returns an ARAI certified figure of 17.3 kmpl (manual).
The Cruze continues to have the sporty interiors with features like features like a six-way power adjustable driver’s seat, dead pedal, speakers, power-operated windows with the express-up & down feature on the driver's window, Bluetooth music streaming, push button start and pinch guard protection. The base LT variant sells for INR 13.7 lakhs, the top end LTZ variant is on the market for INR 15.19 lakhs and the LTZ automatic can be yours for INR 16.19 lakhs; all prices ex-showroom, New Delhi.
