Renault India Pvt. Ltd. today unveiled the New Renault Fluence. The car offers a premium package of typically French design that is elegant and fluid, interiors that comfortable, plush and very capacious, a lot of savvy gizmos and an engine that performs really well.
The front end sports Renault’s new brand identity with a new front grille that houses a bold Renault lozenge. The LED daytime running lights and projector headlamps further accentuate the overall sporty yet premium appeal of the new Fluence. Under the bonnet, this car gets Renault’s highly acclaimed K9K diesel engine that directs 108 bhp at the wheels via a 6 speed manual transmission. While it may not have the outright acceleration off the line as some of its competitors, it more than compensates for it with its ARAI certified fuel economy of 20.4 kpl.
The interior remains mostly unaltered and it’s modern, including a digital instrumentation binnacle, premium leather upholstery, dual zone regulated air conditioning, rear sun blinds, an audio system from Arkamys with 8 speakers and chromed controls, contributing to a luxurious feel in the roomy passenger cabin. The car also gets cool gizmos such as automatic headlamps, rain sensing wipers, cruise control, steering mounted audio and telephony controls and so on. On the safety front, the car gets features like ABS with EBD and brake assist, electronic stability programme (ESP), anti skid regulation (ASR) and 4 airbags on the front and sides.
Sumit Sawhney, the Country CEO and MD of Renault Operations in India commented on the launch saying, “The New Renault Fluence offers bold styling and onboard features that are perfectly in line with the needs and aspirations of Indian customers. With drivers increasingly looking for cars that project their personality and style, while at the same time, provide a comfortable and enjoyable ride, the New Renault Fluence makes a statement that cannot be ignored.” The price bracket of the new Fluence range will start from INR 13.99 lakhs (ex-showroom, New Delhi).
