We have also learnt at the launch that more M cars will find its way to India, meaning that today’s launch was just the beginning. BMW will be launching its 'i' range of hybrid vehicles with the stunning i8 and subsequently, some more vehicles belonging to the 'X' range of SUVs. BMW has announced that it will follow the top-down approach now that the M6 Gran Coupe has been launched today, the company will soon bring the 2014 BMW M5. This car will be launched in the subcontinent later in the year and quite possibly, we could get the highly acclaimed M3 and M4 as well.
The 2014 BMW M5 will be powered by the same engine found under the bonnet of the M6 Gran Coupe – a 4.4 litre, V8 petrol engine that belts out 560 hp; whereas the M3 will be driven by a 3.0 litre, 6 cylinder petrol engine that generates 431 hp. These 2 vehicles will soon join the steadily lengthening line of sports cars plying on Indian roads – a fact that is testament to how far motoring in India has come in a not very long span of time.
