Maruti Suzuki, one of the largest car makers of the country, may soon instigate what could well be the largest recall for a single model in India. The vehicle being targeted is the Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire, specifically those manufactured in 2013 and 2014, which amounts to well over 1 lakh units of the car.
The company has reported there it is likely that there is a fault with the fuel filler neck of the vehicles produced during this time frame. A lot of these vehicles are still in showrooms and dealerships have been given a notification regarding the issue at hand. If the recall will actually occur, Maruti Suzuki will issue an official statement for the same beforehand.
Maruti Suzuki has already done a recall just last November of almost 1,500 units of the Swift, Ertiga, Swift Dzire and A-Star to rectify a problem pertaining to the steering column.
