The facelifted Volkswagen Jetta has been revealed before its New York Auto Show debut and the changes now make it visually more closer to the likes of the bigger Passat. There is a new grille, front bumper along with the HID headlamps with LED DRLs. Move to the rear and the facelifted Jettta gets new tail-lamps and rear bumper. Thus now it resembles more like the Passat and the new Golf hatch but it sure adds presence to the styling a little bit.
Inside its better looking and more premium than before with a new steering-wheel, redesigned centre console and new instruments. The facelifted Jetta continues to have its spacious interiors as before and the comfortable rear seats are a plus point. The facelifted Jetta continues with the 1.4/1.8 turbo petrols but there is a new 2.0 diesel which is more powerful than before. Overall the changes make the Jetta more premium and closer to the VW family look. In India the Jetta competes with the Skoda Octavia, Hyundai Elantra, Renault Fluence and Toyota Corolla Altis.
