These two rivals have got a new avatar at the New York Auto Show so without wasting anytime let us take a look at these new D-segment luxury sedans.
2015 Toyota Camry
Yes this is the new Camry for the American market and this one follows a new, much sportier design language just like the Corolla. The new car is slightly longer (1.8 inches or 45 mm) and features a widened track (0.4 inches or 10 mm). At the front the new Camry has a more aggressive front bumper with trapezoidal grille and of course LED DRLs.
The interior is a lot more youthful looking now with the new centre-console having a new 4.2-inch TFT screen. In the US the new Camry has a 2.5-liter four-cylinder or 3.5-liter V6 engine.
2015 Hyundai Sonata
The new Hyundai Sonata also looks completely different from its predecessor and we like its clean yet handsome lines. Featuring the new Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design language the styling is less fussy and looks aggressive especially from the front. Of course details like LED daytime running lights, 16-inch alloy wheels, a rear lip spoiler and chrome surround for the day light opening help matters also.
Inside the whole ambience is now more sporty with the centre console angled toward the driver. The list of gadgets include an 8.0-inch navigation system with downloadable apps, HD radio, Dimension or 400-watt Infinityaudio systems. When it comes to engines the 2.4 litre four-cylinder unit makes 185 bhp but there is also a 2.0 turbocharged unit.
