Yes the Audi TT range is growing and the latest is the TT offroad concept that has just been revealed. Unveiled in Beijing this is a plug-in hybrid drive with two electric motors. The Audi TT offroad concept is based on the modular transverse matrix (MQB) and is 4.39 meters long, 1.85 meters wide and a wheelbase of 2.63 meters which means this is a compact crossover and about Audi Q3 sized. Design wise it certainly looks good with the usual Audi styling details and of course those massive 255/40-series tires which are mounted on 21 inch wheels.
The Audi TT offroad concept is a four seater with a sporty interior. We like the round air vents which are reminiscent of jet engines. It also has a custom-designed box in the trunk contains a 1:8 scale radio‑controlled (RC) car. There is also space for the battery and tools. The power-folding individual rear seats allow for a nearly flat cargo floor.
The plugin hybrid drive in the Audi TT offroad concept gives out 408 hp and 650 Nm of torque. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.2 seconds and reaches an electronically governed top speed of 250 km/h.
