BMW has unveiled its latest Vision Future luxury concept car just before its official debut at the Beijing Motor Show 2014. This is an attempt and message from BMW to world to show their futuristic approach towards their luxurious cars which will reach the new heights of technical and designing sophistication.
The car uses carbon fibre structure to keep its weight down to gain the technical advantages resulting into supreme performance. The front end gets typical Kidney shaped front grille of BMW brand with new and extremely slim headlights using Laser lights beneath them confirming far more brightness and attitude than regular LED lights.
The large air-dams and sleek design further makes this car look extremely aerodynamic with short overhangs. Move to the side of this low stance luxurious sedan and you will notice two big coach doors based without any B-pillar.
The seats get bolstered in the carbon fibred load bearing structure and avoid the usage of the regular B-pillar. Sloping roof line and boot-lid further enhances its visual appeal and makes it look even more aerodynamic. Vision Future Luxury also becomes the first BMW to get new L-shaped organic LEDs giving it a distinctive appearance which looks quite contemporary as well.
Enter the car and you will enjoy new sense of luxury and privacy with two individual rear seats with separate detachable command tablets giving you the power to control all the functions of this car. The aura gets enlightened by the high quality of material including wood surfaces used inside this car which further pleases you by the way it gels with the interior lighting.
There is also a separate front passenger information display with BMW ConnectedDrive service which can interchange information with Driver’s display as well. Apart from the floating interiors BMW also offer Vision Luxury with three dimensional instrument displays, Head up Display at driver’s eye contact level also giving you information like rear time information about traffic light phasing, road signs, speed limit info and much more.
This new BMW which was earlier speculated to be company’s new flagship model has surely taken a leap forward in terms of features and qualities like exterior and interior designing. Usage of carbon fibre and new materials has made this car stand quite close to company’s own futuristic car, i8 which will soon become the new face of BMW brand. Vision Luxury might also be a hint towards what BMW will try with the new gen 7-series as well which is also slated for its launch next year. It will be interesting to see though how many qualities of Vision Luxury will manage to find their way to the new gen BMW 7-Series.
