Isuzu expanding presence with Delhi dealership

Isuzu till now only had dealers in South India but soon its first dealership in Delhi will open, marking its presence in North India. This move is very important in expanding the presence for Isuzu and tapping a big market here. Isuzu had its products on display at the Auto Expo 2014 with the Isuzu MU-7 and D-Max Space Cab. At present, Isuzu has a contract manufacturing agreement with Hindustan Motors under which HML is contract assembling CKD kits of Isuzu’s sports utility vehicle MU-7 and pick-up truck D-Max, at its Thiruvallur, Chennai plant.

Its manufacturing plant site in SriCity, TADA, Chitoor, Hyderabad will begin operations by early 2016, with the initial production capacity at 50,000 units/ year. At present, Isuzu Motors India has 7 dealerships in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Kerala and along with the one opening in Delhi soon there will also be a Mumbai dealership.
