Nissan has opened its new Parts Distributions Centre in India. This Centre has a built up area of 4.8lakhs sq. Feet and is located at Indospace Industrial Park in Sriperumbudur Taluk near Chennai. Thanks to this PDC, Nissan now will be able to supply spare parts to its authorized workshops across country in quick time assuring improved services to its customers in India.
Kenichiro Yomura, President, Nissan India Operations, said, “Customer satisfaction is one of our key focus areas this fiscal year. Our new after-sales Parts Distribution Centre reaffirms our commitment to our customers in India. Efficient supply of spare parts across our existing service network is imperative to complement our plan to increase our sales touch points.”
This Center will be managed by Nissan directly in support with Indospace and Nippon Express and if compared to the previous facility's 700 lines per day volume, this centre has a daily outbound capacity of 2800 lines which further enables Nissan to dispatch its parts on the same day all over country. Yomura also said that Chennai plant will remain the distributor hub to all those PDCs which Nissan is planning to establish in the coming months all across India.
This seems to be the right time for Nissan in India as they are focusing more on our domestic market and they have also registerd astonishing export sales figures last years beating India's largest car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki.
