Up until now, if you wanted entry into the four ringed club, you had to buy an Audi A4. But soon, the Audi brand will be made a lot more accessible when the German automotive giant launches their new A3 sedan.
The demand for the new A3 is expected to be so high that several dealers have requested Audi to double their allotted stock of the car and this really comes as no surprise. Prices of the Audi A3 are expected to start at around INR 22 lakhs (ex-showroom) and it is clear to see how lucrative a deal it is to be able to own an Audi for that kind of money.
As far as engines are concerned, Audi will give potential A3 customers the choice of having their car powered by either a 1.8 litre TSI petrol engine that puts out 180 hp or a 2.0 litre TDI diesel motor that delivers 148 bhp. Both these variants will be connected to Audi’s 6-speed, dual clutch, automatic transmission.
The biggest thing going for the A3 is that it will be unhindered by competition in India when it is launched because there frankly is no other similar vehicle currently plying on Indian roads. Also, a lot of individuals planning to purchase a BMW 1 Series or a Mercedes-Benz A-Class will soon have the option of owning a larger vehicle instead.
