BMW to Launch New X5 on May 29

By   |   16 May,2014

German auto giant BMW will be launching their new X5 in India on the 29th of May. This version, codenamed F15, is the 3rd generation of the SUV and once it is launched in Pune, it will be in direct competition with high end SUVs such as the Porsche Cayenne, Audi Q7, Mercedes-Benz ML class, the Range Rovers and so on.

This latest BMW X5 will come with the trusted 3.0 litre, 6 cylinder diesel engine that delivers a power output of 258 bhp via an 8 speed automatic transmission. This engine has been performing admirably in the BMW 5 Series and 7 Series as well. This car can do the 0-100 kph dash in less than 7 seconds and go on to a top speed of 230 kph.

The new X5 is bigger than the outgoing model but it is lighter as well, which should result in better fuel economy. But then again, if you’re financially capable enough to buy an X5, you’re not exactly going to be worried about fuel prices! On the inside, the SUV not only gets some of the latest tech from BMW, but it’s more spacious and comfortable as well. Another advantageous point for the new X5 is that it will be available both as a 5-seater and a 7-seater. You can book your 3.0 litre variant of the new BMW X5 now and expect to take delivery by June.
