Ladies and Gentlemen, the Honda Mobilio has arrived in India! Well, not quite. The images of the car seen below are spy shots and the actual launch of the Mobilio is still a month away. The Mobilio is larger than its main rival- Ertiga and has lots of space. Honda wants to plug in the gap between the Ertiga and Innova when it is launched. This Honda Brio-based MPV is the Japanese car maker’s answer to the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga.
The spy image clearly shows this Honda Mobilio to be a diesel version and the V variant. The engine under the bonnet of this car will be the 1.5 litre, i-DTEC, 4 cylinder engine that puts out a power figure of 99 bhp and 200 Nm of torque. Also, as this is a diesel, the only transmission option will be a 5 speed manual gearbox.
There will also be a petrol engine for the Mobilio, most likely a 1.5 litre, 4 cylinder, i-VTEC units that delivers a peak power output of 117 bhp. Unlike the diesel version, the petrol-powered variants can be ordered with either a 5 speed manual gearbox or a CVT automatic. As part of the V variant, this Mobilio gets alloy wheels, foglamps, a rear washer/wiper unit, a reversing camera and so on.
