Inspired by the looks of Jeep and powered by a new and powerful Ford sourced 3.2L Turbo diesel engine is the new Troller T4, a 4X4 vehicle made by Troller Veiculos Especiais. It’s a Ford subsidiary company which produces hardcore off roader only in Brazil.
This company was originally established in 1995 and was later acquired by Ford in 2007. This new gen T4 is in its second generation and has high level of visual resemblance to the much popular Jeep Wrangler thanks to its plastic claddings and wide face.
The engine specifications have not been disclosed yet but its speculated that it’s a Five cylinder engine which produces sufficient power and torque output to make it a fantastic off roader. Moreover, this five cylinder unit is expected to be served with a six-speed manual gearbox supplying power to all four wheels.
T4 features a steel chassis and fiber glass body which keeps its body weight and performance under check.
T4 is a very successful vehicle worldwide as it grossed the sales figures of 4 million way back in 2010. Now with, new technical and cosmetic changes, T4 is even expected to become more popular and is likely to make way to new markets and we also hope Ford finds India a potential market for their flagship off roader. Only time will tell though if Ford has any plans for T4 in India though with the Mahindra Thar having a big fan-following in India, this one would do well here.
