Nissan Sells 5021 Vehicles in May 2014

Nissan Group of India continued registering a strong growth in terms of sales in the month of May 2014. The company sold 5,021 vehicles in the mentioned period as against 2,080 vehicles in May 2013, thereby ending this month on a high note.

The year-on-year sales indicated a healthy growth at 141% for the month of May in spite of tough market conditions. Out of these 5,021 vehicles sold, the Datsun Go hatchback by itself contributed a substantial chunk by selling 1,992 units.

Commenting on the remarkable sales performance, Kenichiro Yomura, the President of the Nissan Group in India said, “Our sales performance has been encouraging since the start of the financial year 2014 and our aim is to continue to remain progressive on our performance. Our business imperatives are being fine-tuned by expanding our dealer and service reach, enhancing our after-sales operations and introducing new, exciting products. While Nissan Terrano and Datsun Go are our performance drivers, the new Sunny and Datsun Go+ are on the anvil.”
