New Ford Figo Sedan Production Version Stays Faithful to Concept

By   |   12 June,2014

The Figo sedan concept vehicle was shown the Indian public at the Delhi Auto Expo held in February this year and like the Ford EcoSport, this new vehicle from Ford has not changed much from its concept version.

The Figo compact sedan looks really striking with its front grille that resembles an Aston Martin and its overall purposeful stance. The only difference at the front end between the concept and production versions is the headlamp cluster – while the concept vehicle had a space age unit, the production version has a more regular one. The interiors are decently done up and comes with features like bluetooth connectivity and steering mounted control buttons.

Ford has done a good job with the design of this car and it does not look stubby from any angle. On the contrary, the car with its wraparound tail light clusters, rising belt line and other design features, looks like it will be one of the best looking compact sedans on our roads.

When this car gets launched in India next year, it will come with the choice of a diesel engine and an EcoBoost petrol engine. Gearshifts will most likely be taken care of by a 5 speed manual transmission. The arrival of this car will also be a real cause of worry for cars like the Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire, Honda Amaze, Hyundai Xcent and the soon-to-arrive Tata Zest.
