5 Things you need to know about the 2014 Nissan Sunny Facelift

If you have decided to buy yourself a premium mid-size sedan and Sunny is somewhere in your list then you must take a look at the below mentioned five major facts about the upcoming Nissan Sunny which you must know before spending your money on it.

Aggressive Looks

Similar to Micra, earlier Sunny had a bland front look. In fact, it was the most needed change in Sunny and with this face lift; Nissan has managed to do so. The face now features much premium and sharper looking headlights deeply rooted in  its front bumper and side fender.

The more pronounced front grille and re-profiled bumper with chrome inserts around fog lights also add premium touch to this car. The sharp  chin and wider air-dam also adds to its aggressive styling. Sunny also gets new alloy wheels, tail lights and black diffuser on rear bumper cutting down the visual bulk. There is also a new colour which looks good.


New Interior

The new and brighter interiors inside Sunny feels much attractive than before. The piano black color treatment on central console and silver accents on its three spoke steering wheel also looks quite fresh and adds the much needed sporty feel to the car.

Further to enlighten the aura inside, you will notice leather wrapped steering wheel, gear knob and leather seats which gives you nice touch and makes it feel up-market. Moreover, Nissan claims to have worked on reducing the NVH (Noise, Vibration and Harshness) levels in the new Sunny and the cabin now feels more silent than before. Even the diesel engine is less audible inside until you cross the mark of 3500rpm.

The top variant of new Sunny will feature new set of alloy wheels, a new 2-Din audio system integrated in its central console equipped with Bluetooth connectivity, steering mounted controls and a display screen for the reverse parking camera, rear comfort fan, follow me home headlamps, push button start plus driver airbag and ABS EBD are standard in all variants.


Space

Best in class leg room has always been the biggest USP of Sunny and that continues to be its forte. The rear legroom makes it one of the best chauffeur driven car in its class. Even the front passengers enjoy good amount of shoulder and head room. Despite offering humongous amount of leg room for all its passengers, Sunny manages to offer you an impressive boot capacity of 490 liter.


More Efficient

Nissan has tuned the familiar 1.5L dci diesel unit of Sunny for improved fuel efficiency although the technical specifications remains intact. This is done by remapping the ECU of Sunny diesel which now delivers a fuel efficiency of 22.7km/ltr which is 1km/ltr more than before. The linear power delivery of this engine is also quite impressive when compared to other turbocharged engines.
