We are driving the new Fiesta today and at yesterday's presentation we got to know this midsize sedan's features and variants. As we have reported earlier the new Fiesta will only have a diesel version and will only come in three variants. So let us tell you in detail what each variant has in terms of features.
This is the base variant in the Fiesta line-up and has black door handles, wheel cover, front and rear power windows, guide me home headlamps, electric boot release, adjustable rear headrests, foldable rear seats, electrically adjustable ORVM, driver side airbag, ABS EBD. It does come without features like an audio system, Ford SYNC system, audio controls on the steering wheel etc.
Go up and things get better here with more features added into the mix. Along wth the above mentioned features in the Ambiente variant, the Trend gets Audio system with AUX-in USB, steering controls, body colour door handles and side view mirror, passenger airbag, fog lamps, auto AC, cruise control, footwell lamps.
The Titanium offers the best kit of features in new Ford Fiesta, along with all the kit of the Trend, it has new alloy wheels, push button start, key less go, rain sensing wipers, electric folding side mirrors integrated with side indicators, rear parking sensors, digital clock, fuel computer and latest Ford Sync system with Emergency Assist and Applink feature which allows selected apps from your phone onto the info display of your car.
It also reads out your text messages and comes with voice command system. Plus the emergency assist via SYNC which helps connect emergency services after an accident. The top-end trim level also has Ambient lighting, auto headlamps, puddle lamps, rear chrome strip and chrome waistline moulding.
Ford is yet to reveal the pricing of the car but expect a starting price between Rs 7.5- Rs 8 lakh. The new Fiesta's main rivals will be the Honda City, Hyundai Verna, Nissan Sunny and VW Vento, Skoda Rapid.
