The introduction of the new Chevrolet Cruze is steadily approaching and the company has just released some images of the car’s interiors. The 2015 Cruze, which will be launched in China at around the end of this year, features redesigned interiors that look brilliant.
Chevrolet has given this car what they call a dual cockpit interior. The interiors look futuristic with its cool blue backlit illumination and a centre console that is dominated by an 8 inch touchscreen. This screen also features the Chevrolet MyLink II system that has voice controls and bluetooth compatibility.
The dashboard, seats and even door panels are swathed in hand-stitched leather. A familiar feature is the 3 spoke steering wheel that also houses control buttons for the audio system, handsfree telephony and so on. The dashboard vents for the air conditioning system look cool as well. Engineers at Chevrolet have also worked on maximising the space available inside the passenger cabin.
In China, customers of the new Cruze will have the option of choosing between a 1.4 litre and a 1.5 litre engine. The smaller engine will be turbocharged for added power. Gearshifts will be taken care of by either a 6 speed manual, a 6 speed automated manual or a 7 speed, dual clutch automatic transmission.
