Volkswagen has stopped production of the current Polo hatchback. But that’s no reason to be disappointed. This has been done because India will be getting the new, face-lifted VW Polo on the 15th of July.
This new car will be powered by a new and highly-awaited 1.5 litre diesel engine that produces 89 bhp. A tuned version of the same engine that generates 104 bhp will be powering the Polo GT TDI. The 1.2 litre petrol and 1.2 litre TSI petrol engines will also be carried over to the new car. Quite a few other aspects of the car have changed as well.
The new Volkswagen Polo will get slightly remodelled headlamp clusters, new alloy wheels, a new front bumper with a chrome band running across the entire width of the car, new fog lamps and a new front grille with just a single chrome strip. On the inside, the car gets a superb looking 3 spoke steering wheel with buttons incorporated into it for operating the audio system and so on. The multifunction display within the instrument binnacle will be revamped as well.
