As we had reported earlier BMW will launch the 7 Series ActiveHybrid on 23rd July at an event in Gurgaon. The 7 Series ActiveHybrid has a 3.0 litre, twin turbocharged, 6 cylinder petrol engine making 320 bhp along with a 55 bhp electric motor. Thus you get total power of 354 bhp, making this one fast hybrid.
Making the driving experience even smoother is the 8 speed automatic transmission. The 7 Series ActiveHybrid does 0-100 kmph in just 5.7 seconds and you will not even realise when eventually it will hit its 250 km/h electronically limited top-speed.
What will also surprise you is that despite it being a heavy luxury sedan, it will be very efficient making it an ideal luxury sedan. The 7 Series ActiveHybrid price wise will be at the top of the range positioned along with the 760Li but we think in a segment where refinement is a big priority this car will have a lot of takers! After having just launched the new BMW X5, this launch confirms BMW India's plans to concentrate at the premium segment.
