Hyundai's voluptuous beauty, the fluidic Elantra, has become quite popular in India since its launch. Be its design or performance, the car has established itself in our market strongly amongst other successful players. In order to make it even more popular, Hyundai is going to bring down the face-lifted Elantra in India next year which is already available in international markets.
The exterior changes in the 2015 Elantra includes day time running LED lights, stretched fog lights with added chrome detailing and newly designed 16 inches alloy wheels. Hyundai also introduced a Sport variant of the updated Elantra internationally which was available with an optional Tech package offering 7-inch touchscreen audio system with navigation system and 360 watt audio.
Apart from this, the SE variant was on sale with a style package which comprises of premium interior features such as one touch up and down window for driver, electric sunroof, leather seats, steering wheel and gear lever.
Currently, the Hyundai Elantra is powered by a 1.8 L petrol, and 1.6L diesel engine and competes with really capable executive sedans such as new Octavia, Altis, Fluence and Cruze. It will be interesting to see though if Hyundai can manage to implant the powerful 2.0L 170 bhp petrol engine and features from the Sports variant in the new Elantra to give it an edge over others.
