The extra lunatic version of the 4 Series sedan, the BMW M4, will most likely have its India launch by the end of August or early September. The world renowned German automobile manufacturer has already been teasing the M4 on its social media channels.
The world was introduced to the M4, which is the replacement for the outgoing BMW M3 Coupe, during the beginning of this year at the Detroit Motor Show. Powering the M4 is a 3.0 litre, twin turbocharged 6 cylinder petrol engine newly designed and built by BMW. It packs quite a wallop as well, putting out 431 bhp and a massive torque output of 550 Nm. This being a Beemer, only the rear wheels will get the power channelled by the 6 speed manual or 7 speed dual clutch automatic transmission.
The M4 automatic can hit 100 kph from a standstill in just 4.1 seconds, while the manual version can do it in 4.3 seconds. Top speed is, as usual, an electronically limited 250 kph. The interiors will be luxuriously appointed but with a definite focus towards it sporting credentials. Keep your eyes on this page for more details.
