Better Performance for the 2015 Range Rovers

By   |   17 July,2014

Britain’s premium SUV manufacturer, Land Rover, is introducing a set of updates for the 2015 Range Rover and Range Rover Sport models. These cars will also get increased personalisation options that include exterior colours, alloy wheels, a panoramic roof and interior colour schemes.

The SDV8 engine now produces 334 bhp and 740 Nm of torque due to detailed calibration changes. This improves in-gear acceleration by up to 6.5% from 5th to 8th gear, ensuring effortless overtaking ability and enhanced towing capability. The ZF 8-speed automatic gearbox has been re-engineered with a revised torque converter incorporating a twin-spring damper. The 3.0 litre supercharged V6 engine continues to offer 335 bhp and 450 Nm of torque, but a new ZF 8-speed automatic transmission ensures full compliance with new emissions requirements.

The upgraded feature list now includes puddle lamps, a panoramic sunroof, electric window blinds, 19 inch alloy wheels finished in satin dark grey, an intelligent cargo mode that senses if the rear seats are about to make contact with the front seats when folded down to increase luggage capacity, automatically moves the front seats forwards and once the rear seats have folded flat, returns the front seats as close as possible to their original position. Also part of the new cars is a feature called Land Rover InControl; which provides apps, in-car WiFi, integrated SOS emergency calling and a vehicle tracker.

The new Range Rover and Range Rover Sport can be customised more by the buyer for a heightened sense of personalisation. An updated colour palette features Aruba silver and Kaikoura Stone. The Luxurious Autobiography Black colour is available with an exclusive new Lunar/Cirrus interior colour combination.

The Autobiography Black signature details include unique Santorini Black and Bright Chrome exterior trim, LED tail lamps, unique 21 and 22 inch alloys, new seat designs with Semi-Aniline leather, customer-configurable mood lighting, and additional swathes of leather. The roof and door sills can now be finished in body colour or contrasting black.
