The buzz surrounding the impending launch of Maruti Suzuki———s latest sedan, the Ciaz, is building up significantly as we draw closer to the car———s release date; which will be sometime during the middle of October. The car will be available in 4 different variants ——— V, V+, Z and Z+ for both petrol and diesel versions. We thought that this would be a good time to take a closer look at all the trim levels that the Ciaz will be available in and explain to you what makes them different.
Maruti Suzuki Ciaz V
Let———s face it, base variants of cars usually have as much equipment as a medieval hut! But surprisingly, the base variant of the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz isn———t Spartan when it comes to equipment. The V variant gets features like projector headlamps, keyless entry, an audio system with USB compatibility, rear AC vents, armrests at the front and rear, electrically adjustable rear view mirrors with integrated turn indicators, chromed interior door handles, tilt adjustable steering and power windows.
Maruti Suzuki Ciaz V+
This variant sits one notch higher and in addition to all the features you get in the V variant, the V+ gets automatic climate control, front fog lights, reverse parking sensors, steering mounted controls for the phone and audio system and bluetooth connectivity. On the safety front, the V+ variant comes equipped with ABS and an airbag for the driver.
Maruti Suzuki Ciaz Z
The Z trim level goes one up on the V+ variant, being kitted out with features like push button engine ignition, chrome door handles on the outside, fabric and leather seat upholstery, 15 inch alloy wheels, a rear sun blind, an illuminated footwell and AC vents with chrome surrounds. There is a little more safety kit as well as this car is fitted with airbags for both front passengers and a reverse parking camera that displays a video feed in the centre console display.
Maruti Suzuki Ciaz Z+
As expected, the Z+ trim level sits right on top of the heap in terms of features. This variant gets leather upholstery everywhere, a steering wheel wrapped in leather and the centre console has a touchscreen infotainment display incorporated into it that can sync with a smartphone. The Z+ variant also has voice recognition, chrome trimming on the boot lid and 16 inch alloy wheels.
Maruti Suzuki has been careful to tailor the different variants of the Ciaz across a reasonably wide price bracket. Bookings for the car have commenced today and once the car is put on sale in the middle of next month, it is almost certain that we will see it becoming a resounding success.
