Audi A6 Facelift
The A6 has always been a very strong seller in India for Audi and indeed in the rest of the world. Thus the new Audi A6 brings in updates to the engines, gearbox, styling and features. In terms of looks the new A6 gets changes made to the Singleframe grille, the headlights, air inlets, bumpers, side sills, rear lights and tailpipes. Also on offer are the LED headlights/ Matrix LED headlights.
The interiors now have new colours added. Engine wise there are three petrols and five diesels which are more efficient. The A6 3.0 TDI gets an 8-speed auto while the rest of the range gets a seven-speed dual clutch.
Mercedes-Benz will continue its aggressive product launch strategy with the CLA coming next year. The CLA as you know based on the A-Class will rival the Audi A3 sedan and is expected to come with the same engines as the A-Class. We already have the Mercedes-Benz GLA and now with the CLA Merc wants a large slice of the compact luxury pie.
New Mercedes-Benz C-Class
The CLA will be just one of the many launches next year for Mercedes as the new C-Class which will come later promises to give the BMW 3-Series a serious fight. The new generation model is longer, wider and has more room than before. Design wise you can see the change as it now looks like a shrunken S-Class. The interiors though are just stunning and promise class best quality.
This will take some time to come but when it does expect it to quickly become the best selling Jaguar in India. Just revealed worldwide the XE is an important model for Jaguar as it promises big sales numbers worldwide. Talking points other than the shrunken XJ looks include a new modular architecture and the only car in the class to use an aluminium-intensive monocoque. New series of petrol/diesels with an 8-speed auto means this is a Jag to wait for.
New Volkswagen Passat
The Passat in its new gen avatar is more luxurious and when launched will be more expensive. While the current Passat has not been a success the new one with the premium styling and quality cabin will hope to get more buyers. Based on the MQB platform the new Passat has a longer wheelbase and that means it will have more space. The new Passat also looks wider and lower having a sleeker look. Inside it is even better than before which is saying something.
Yes, we have been hearing rumours for a long time of Toyota introducing Lexus and now there is some truth. Of focus here are the IS, LS and GS sedans. The new IS is a stunning car with the edgy new Lexus design language. The sleek styling, strong lines and L-shaped LED Daytime Running Lights (DRL) means that this one will be loved by Indian luxury car buyers. However the stunning interior will give nightmares to its rivals. Now the only problem is the lack of a diesel as the IS has a hybrid and 2.5 litre V6 petrol. The bigger GS and LS might also be launched. The GS looks good with the spindle grille and has lots of space and features inside. The bigger LS will see the S-Class as its rival and has a generous 2,970mm wheelbase.

It remains to be seen what strategy is adopted to bring Infiniti in India.
