New Maruti Alto K10 will rival the Hyundai Eon 1.0, Datsun GO among others
These are images of the new Maruti Alto K10 due for launch next month. As is evident from some angles the new Alto K10 is based on the Maruti Alto 800 but has been given some significant styling changes. As it can be seen from the front view image the new Alto K10 looks much better than the Alto 800 with the big sweptback headlamps and the new grille with chrome finish.
You will also notice the new front bumper with the fog-lamps. While the side view remains largely the same as the Alto 800 the rear-end has new tail-lamps and a new rear bumper which actually makes it similar in design to the Maruti Celerio. There are bigger wheels as well! Inside you have a new look interior with a new dash which makes it more premium looking than the one on the Alto 800. There is a new three-spoke steering wheel which looks and feels much better plus the new K10 is more spacious than its predecessor. The biggest plus point of the new Alto K10 will be the AMT option given with the 67 bhp 1.0 K10 engine. This is the same gearbox which is there in the Maruti Celerio.
This will make it the cheapest automatic car available in our market. Of course it will have a 5-speed manual also along with a CNG version. Being a Maruti excellent fuel efficiency is pretty much expected and here the figures are 24.07 kmpl which for the AMT as well as the manual version while the CNG version delivers 32.26 km/kg. To be available in four trim levels we expect aggressive pricing when Maruti launches it.
