Two MPVs that have been knocking around on Indian roads, the Honda Mobilio and the Nissan Evalia, have both been given a little extra from their manufacturers to keep their foothold in the Indian car market firm.
Honda has released the RS variant of the Mobilio and while it has not been altered mechanically, the car has received substantial cosmetic changes and additions. The car gets very sporty alloy wheels that resemble a turbine propeller, power retractable rear view mirrors that also have turn indicators incorporated into them, a roof spoiler mounted on the tailgate, projector headlamps with LED position lights and more. Apart from these, the Mobilio RS gets tons of chrome lashings in places like the front grille, front foglamps, rear bumper and door handles.
The Nissan Evalia Special Variant gets a new chrome front grille and the front bumper has been completely redesigned. It also houses the integrated foglamps with chrome surrounds. Apart from this, this vehicle gets a rear roof spoiler, generous chrome trimming at the rear and 10-spoke alloy wheels. Inside, the Special Variant of the Evalia retains the same features as its other versions such as roof AC vents in both the second and third rows, a 2-DIN audio system with USB support, rear wiper and defogger, wood finish on the dashboard, map lamps for 3rd row passengers and so on. It will be positioned above the current top end variant ——— the XV(O). This vehicle will cost INR 11.62 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi).
