More news from Brazil! At the Sao Paulo Motor Show that is currently in progress, Renault has revealed a pickup truck version of its immensely popular SUV, the Duster. The vehicle is called the Renault Duster Oroch and it is essentially a pickup with sufficient interior space to carry 5 occupants.
The Duster Oroch gets a lot of tech as well. Included in this car are features like roof rails, a panoramic sunroof, 18 inch alloys, a satin white paint colour scheme with orange accents and more. There are also two rear mounted cameras set at different angles to capture sporting events such as kite-surfing or paragliding. The interior is covered in a dark material with fluorescent orange highlights that resembles neoprene. This vehicle was designed at the Renault Design Centre for Latin America (RDAL) in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
This new pickup also has a spacious passenger cabin to accommodate people comfortably and high ground clearance for being able to tackle moderately difficult terrain. Putting this vehicle on sale in Brazil is actually a very good move for Renault because pickup trucks make up nearly 75% of the light commercial vehicle (LCV) segment in South America and sell almost a million units annually.
