German automobile maker Audi has pulled the covers off of their baby SUV, the Q3. This car has been doing exceptionally well in India thanks to a combination of terrific build quality, generous feature list, comfortable ride, capacious interiors and a price tag that does not trigger heart attacks.
The new Audi Q3 will be powered by a line-up of engines whose displacements go from 1.4 litres to 2.0 litres. Power figures vary from 120 hp to 218 hp, but Audi says that these motors are more planet friendly than before as is the trend these days. All these engines are compliant with the Euro 6 emission norms and spew out up to 17% less CO2. The car also gets LED interior lighting, secondary collision brake assist, blind spot warning and more.
This is an Audi and therefore, obviously, the styling changes are not going to blow you away. The headlamp clusters are now bi-xenon projector units that also have LED daytime running lights incorporated into them and the front grille has been remodelled a bit to look sharper. As an optional extra, interested buyers can spec their Q3 with LED tail lights and dynamic turn signals as well. The new Audi Q3 will hit showrooms in Europe in February of 2015 and will arrive on Indian shores soon after.
