A second video teasing an upcoming Ford performance model has been released. As with the first video, Ford executives talk about the brands performance heritage as well as hint at the mysterious new vehicle, which could be the upcoming Ford Mustang GT350.
In the video, the new car———s design is said to be ———a form follows function car——— with an emphasis placed on aerodynamics while still having a beautiful design. Close-up shadowy images tease certain elements of the new vehicle, including parts of the body that suggest the new Ford performance model could be Mustang-based. Other teased bits include a honeycomb mesh grille, chassis and suspension pieces, and a Michelin tire.
The upcoming Ford Mustang GT350 is rumored to be powered by a 5.2-liter flat-plane-crank V-8 making as much as 600 hp and 450 lb-ft of torque. Another slim possibility is a successor to the 1960s-era Ford GT40 race cars and the mid-2000s Ford GT supercar, though it's hard to imagine that the lines teased here could belong to such a car. As we've previously reported, a race version of the Ford GT successor could use a modified 3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6, while a street version is rumored to use the same flat-plane-crank V-8 as the GT350.
Check out the video below and tell us what Ford performance model you think will be shown on November 17 ahead of the 2014 Los Angeles auto show.
