New Maruti Swift was certainly one of the most anticipated cars this year. After arrival of all the face-lifted versions of its competitors, now it was high time for the Swift facelift to enter our market. Now, when its finally here so without wasting any more time, here we tell you in detail about all the changes made to this new car by Maruti to make sure that it maintains its top position in its segment by a significant margin. Front bumper and Grille
Changes are easily recognized when you see the car from front. The new bumper of Swift features a new honeycomb design for its front grille while the air-dam has also increased in size looking more prominent than before.
New Fog Lamp Bezels
The silver vertical lining inside fog lamp bezels in the form of day time running LED lights is also a striking factor however it gives an impression of cost cutting but it still adds to the style factor.
New Alloy Wheels and Wheel Caps
Move to the side and that's only difference. The mid variants get newly designed wheel covers for their 14-inch wheels while the top variants get revised styling for their already stylish 15-inch alloy wheels. Surely, these bigger alloy wheels add to the sporty stance of Swift.
The new Swift comes with prominent usage of silver accent inside which suits the overall black theme and you will also notice the new upholstery enhancing the fresh feel inside.
Push button Start and Auto Folding Mirrors
Kelyless entry along with push button start and auto folding ORVMs are the latest premium features which you now get in the top variants of the new making it more value for money than before. After Ciaz, Swift becomes the second car in Maruti line-up to get these premium features.
Now, the mid variants, Vxi/Vdi comes integrated with company fitted speed sensing music system with USB, Aux-in connectivity while the top variants now feature Bluetooth connectivity as well. This enables you to make calls and stream music while on the move with audio and phone controls mounted on its steering wheel.
This is an optional variant added to the line-up enabled with front power windows and central locking giving a bit extra to the starters.
The new Swift is certainly more safer than before especially its most popular Vdi variant which now comes standard with ABS with EBD and Brake Assist. The ZDI variant also gets additional rear parking sensors along with its standard ABS and Dual front airbags.
Both, petrol and diesel versions of new Swift gets hike in fuel efficiency as Maruti has tweaked the engines a bit. The 1.2L K-series engine now produces 83bhp which is nearly 2bhp less power than before resulting into enhanced fuel efficiency of 20.4km/ltr while the 1.3L Multijet diesel engine receives slight remapping in ECU to deliver a fuel efficiency of 25.2km/ltr. There is negligible difference in the performance so the new Swift feels quite the same.
Maruti has added Violet, Red and Granite Gray color in the new Swift making it more vibrant than before. The below mentioned image of Swift is also in its new avatar.
