German car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz will be launching its stunning CLA sedan on January 22nd 2015 and bookings are now open. The CLA will be available in two trim levels- Style and Sport. It will be an important launch for sure considering how much interest the car has been generating. We saw the AMG version being launched earlier this year and we had a blast, driving it at the BIC. Now the standard CLA will be a lot cheaper and that will mean that it might just turn out to be the best-seller in the Mercedes range.
Up until not so long ago, the C-Class was the least expensive sedan in the fleet of Mercedes-Benz but that it will cease to be once the CLA-Class hits Indian roads. This car will go up against the Audi A3 sedan which is its only true rival at the moment. Powering the CLA will be either a 2.2 litre diesel engine that produces a power output of 135 bhp or a 2.0 litre petrol engine that puts out 181 bhp.
Both the petrol and diesel versions of this car will be equipped only with a 7 speed, double clutch automatic transmission. Another point worth mentioning is that the drive will be sent only to the front wheels. Mercedes-Benz is obviously targeting the younger bunch of potential buyers with the CLA, a fact that be easily understood due to the sharp styling of the car. Without a doubt those stunning looks will be a big draw and come January 22nd you will be able to park one in your garage!
