Indian vehicle manufacturer Mahindra launched a revamped version of their popular SUV, the Scorpio, last year. The company has now released a new variant of the new Scorpio called the S4+. As expected, it is positioned a rung above the S4 variant and gets some additional tech as well.
The Mahindra Scorpio S4+, in addition to all the equipment found in the S4, also gets features such as follow me home headlamps, panic braking indication, ABS with electronic brake force distribution (EBD), airbags for both front passengers and so on. The S4+ variant does not get alloy wheels or the body coloured cladding on the sides like the higher S6, S8 and S10 variants but instead, it comes with regular steel wheels with wheel covers and black side cladding.
This S4+ variant of the Scorpio comes equipped with shift on the fly all wheel drive. This feature was available earlier on the S4 variant but now, the S4 only gets two wheel drive. Mechanically, there will be no other changes as the S4+ will also be powered by the same 2.5 litre, 75 bhp CRDI diesel engine or the 2.2 litre, 120 bhp, mHAWK diesel engine. Transmission is also the same 5 speed manual unit.
