What you see here is the latest creation from Mercedes-AMG, the GLE 63 S Coupe. This vehicle will debut at the 2015 Detroit Motor Show in the USA this week.
From the rear, its swoopy roof and flowing lines are clear to see. Other striking aspects are its huge diffuser flanked by quadruple tailpipes and the long band of chrome that connects both tail lamp clusters.
Walk around to the side and what you see will be the clean design that Mercedes-Benz is known for. The window area tapers down towards the rear while the tornado line rises upwards. The 22 inch alloys under the flared wheel arches look fabulous as well.
The interiors have typically Mercedes gadgets made from top notch quality materials. The GLE 63 S comes equipped with a flat bottomed steering wheel, sports seats, a new instrument cluster and lots of carbon fibre.
To keep it glued to the road at high speeds, this car gets AMG Ride Control, sports suspension, Active Curve System, AMG Performance 4WD, Active Roll Stabilisation, a Direct Steer System and heaps more electronic wizardry!
Under the bonnet is a 5.5 litre, twin turbocharged V8 petrol engine. How much power does it have, you ask? A lot. 577 hp to be exact! This whopper of an engine can get this car from 0-100 kph in 4.2 seconds and hit a limited top speed of 250 kph.
