Mercedes-Benz registered record sales in 2014 and during the same year, the company also launched 10 new vehicles. Now, if you think ten was quite a high number, we have news for you as Mercedes-Benz will be releasing a whopping fifteen new models this year as part of their 15 in 15 Programme! While last year was dubbed the Year of Excellence, 2015 will be called by Mercedes-Benz as Live the Best Year.
We do not have details at the moment about all the cars that they will be launching but as we all know the first launch would be the CLA-Class sedan then you will have more important products introduced like the diesel version of the new C-Class, the S-Class Hybrid, the all new GLE SUV, the Mercedes-AMG C63, a facelifted version of the B-Class and of course the stunning Mercedes AMG GT supercar.
The German luxury car maker also has plans to expand their dealer network. The company plans to open 15 new dealerships this year and also enter into tier-III cities. To focus on the high performance brand, Mercedes-Benz will also be opening a few AMG Performance Centres in India which would further increase its dominance on the performance car market. They will also turn their sights onto the used car market this year with their pre owned car brand which was launched last year. Buyers of any compact Merc can avail of a special 9.99% interest rate on a loan. Mercedes-Benz is also planning several initiatives to increase road safety.
The company will also kick off many customer initiatives such as the Luxe Drive Programme, an event which brings together gourmet food ,fashion and of course various driver programmes. A myth that Mercedes-Benz wants to dispel is the notion that these cars are expensive to own and for that, a special maintenance package of INR 1.99 per km for the first 20,000 km that covers all costs is available for the owners of Mercedes-Benzes. This car maker is also taking steps to go green by installing larger solar panel farms at its facility in Chakan, near Pune. So it goes without saying that 2015 is going to be another fantastic year for Mercedes.
