After the revision in excise duty, Mitsubishi has increased the prices of its SUV, Pajero Sport in India. This move is quite crucial for company especially keeping the fact in mind that Toyota has recently launched the new variants of Fortuner which is currently the biggest rival of Pajero Sport
The Pajero Sport is available in manual as well as automatic transmission which has been one of its biggest USPs till date. The manual version of the SUV will now cost you INR 25.28 lakhs while the automatic variant is now priced at INR 24.98 lakhs (all prices, ex-showroom, Delhi).
The Mitsubishi Pajero Sport is powered by a 2.5L which is available in two states producing different torque output for manual and automatic variants. The power output of 176bhp remains similar in both versions. The manual variant churns out more torque output of 400Nm which is available at 2500rpm while the automatic variant produces a torque output of 350Nm ranging between 1800-3500rpm. The manual version only comes with AWD layout while the automatic variant transfers power to the rear wheels only making it optional for you to go for the variant which suits your driving style and conditions the best.
