German car maker BMW has released a new version of the smallest vehicle in its fleet, the 1 Series hatchback. This vehicle has been on sale in several car markets across the globe since 2004. Read on to see what the new one is all about.
At the front of the car, the wider BMW signature kidney grilles and the remodelled headlight clusters will most likely be the first aspects of the car to be noticed. The headlamps can be upgraded to LED units as an optional extra.
Walk around to the back and you will find that the tail lamps have been redesigned and sport the L-shaped look that new BMWs have. The lights themselves are LED units.
The interiors are typical BMW and made using top notch quality materials. The 1 Series is a very sporty car, and coloured accents inside the car just add to the overall sportiness. The seats are very supportive and hold you well through tight corners.
Three people can easily fit into the back seats. There is sufficient headroom and the rear passengers also get creature comforts such as dedicated AC vents and so on. A centre armrest can be pulled down if there are only two occupants.
The new BMW 1 Series comes equipped with a display mounted above the centre console for the iDrive. Other bits of tech include a sound system with CD, USB, aux-in and bluetooth support, dual zone automatic climate control, push button engine ignition, and loads more.
