Mercedes-Benz India, the largest luxury car manufacturer in India, today launched the all-new GLA 220d 4Matic Activity Edition, thus introducing the much awaited 4Matic four-wheel drivetrain in the GLA, for the first time in the Indian market. The vehicle is priced at INR 38.51 lakhs (ex-showroom, Pune).
This vehicle also happens to be the 6th SUV launch and the 9th product by the company for India in 2016. It is powered by the same 2.1 litre, 4 cylinder turbocharged diesel engine that puts out 168 bhp and 350 Nm of torque. The GLA Activity Edition gets black decals on the doors, an Activity Edition badge, new 18 inch alloy rims, a new Mountain Grey exterior paint colour, an 8 inch touchscreen infotainment system, Activity Edition floor mats, rear seats that fold down by an extra 15 degrees to liberate an additional 60 litres of storage space and more. The GLA achieved the maximum 5 stars in the Euro NCAP safety ratings thanks to feature such as 6 airbags, attention assist, curve dynamic assist, tyre pressure monitoring and so on.

We have sold over 3,500 units of the GLA since its market introduction and with the launch of the GLA 220 d 4Matic Activity Edition; we expect the volumes to scale even further and add more value to the consumer. The GLA 220 d will now be available with the off-road package as standard.
