BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo, in its facelifted avatar has just gone on sale in India, showing off a sportier exterior and a new infotainment user interface. BMW has also added upgraded materials and accents to the interior to up the lux factor of the odd 3 Series hatch variant.
The 2017 BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo is nearly 190 inches in length, and now offers new, standard LED headlights and foglamps. Sharper character lines add to the overall sportier appearance, drawing the eye from the updated front design to the coupe-like dimensions in the rear.
The interior receives the same attention, and is now outfitted with extra chrome around the interior controls, gains new decorative wood elements and colors, and has available leather trim options. Just as before, the seating position is raised by just over 2 inches from the standard 3 Series for improved visibility, while the wheelbase is roughly 4 inches longer, offering better rear legroom.
Though the model is offered with a range of small gas and diesel engines in Europe, in India we have the 2.0 petrol and diesel options with the petrol only offered in the Luxury Line trim. BMW will offer classic rear-wheel drive but xDrive all-wheel drive is available in other markets outside.
BMW will offer the new 3 Series Gran Turismo in two variants, the Sport Line and Luxury Line with prices starting at Rs 43.3 lakh for the Sport Line and Rs 47.5 lakh for the Luxury Line.
