Japanese car maker Toyota is poised to launch the revised and upgraded version of their popular sedan, the Corolla Altis, in the Indian car market tomorrow. The bookings for this vehicle are already open and interested buyers can book their car at any Toyota dealership in the country right away.
Under the bonnet, the Corolla Altis facelift is not expected to see any alterations as it will most likely continue being powered by the same 1.8 litre, 4 cylinder petrol engine that puts out 138 bhp and the 1.4 litre, 4 cylinder, turbocharged diesel motor that makes 87 bhp. The transmission options for the new vehicle are expected to be carried over from the previous generation model as well.
Although the profile of the Corolla Altis facelift remains identical to its predecessor, it will feature a new slimmer front grille and more angular headlight clusters that are more in line with the new design philosophy of the company. The rear of the car sees minor modifications, and new LED tail lamps will be available as standard.
On the inside, the car gets a larger touchscreen infotainment system than before, the centre console has been given a makeover, and the dashboard features the use of soft-touch materials for a more premium feel. With these changes and additions, the Toyota Corolla Altis is better equipped to take on its rivals that have been improving steadily over the past few years.
